The vibratory roller is an important device in a road construction. The choice of optimum frequency has not only impact on compaction effect but also compaction efficiency. The performance of control system is an important factor which depends on the working quality to a great extent. Therefore, it will make a great realistic to develop intelligent & digital control system which has high performance & high level for working performance of the vibratory roller.This paper deeply analyzed and summarized the current working principle & control method of the vibratory roller inland & abroad, and study the optimum compaction frequency detection based on vibratory signal from the ground then presented a design scheme &algorithm of intelligent & digital control system based on DSP. With TI Company's digital signal processor TMS320F2812 as the core of hardware, the paper introduced the ground signal detection circuit, speed measurement circuit, data acquisition & fault detection circuit and so on in detail.Based on CCS2.0 environment, the system software was programmed in language mixed with C and assembly language and its code was manual optimized to improve the efficiency, the readability and portability. At the same time, the software adopted the float arithmetic of pointing DSP to ensure the control accuracy.with the realization of the function of optimum compaction frequency detect, PWM driver and PID control, the paper focused on algorithm design and adopted the measure of software & hardware anti-interference methods to solve the problem of anti-interference of the control system. Finally, the simulation model by Simulink of MATLAB showed that the system was running well and met the design requirements.
