Dual Clutch Transmission(DCT) is the focus of vehicle transmission field. The study of key technologies of DCT system, and the development of DCT with independent intellectual property right to mastering the key technologies, have great practical significance to promote the development and technological progress of automotive industry of china.In this paper, the study of key technology of the DCT dual dry clutch is carried out relying on a project National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program)"Development of high performance automatic transmission for economical car". Based on the finite element technology, completed the design and performance analysis of the dual dry clutch .The main works as follow:①Based on Chang'an CV11 vehicle, the structure scheme and overall dimension of the dual dry clutch are confirmed according to the performance parameters of the power train. Basic parameters of the torsion damper and the diaphragm spring of normally released clutch were calculated in this paper.②In order to validate whether the design of dual dry clutch meet the structural strength and also to provide load conditions for the fatigue life analysis, the static strenth analysis of the driven plate,driven disc and diaphragm spring which have a major impact on the performance of the dual dry clutch were implemented based on the finite element technology.③Based on the results of the static strength analysis of dual dry clutch, fatigue analysis of the driven plate,driven disc and diaphragm spring which are the most easily damaged parts in the dual dry clutch system were implemented in the advanced fatigue analysis software FE-safe in order to validate whether the fatigue life of dual dry clutch meet the design requirement.④A starting control strategy of dual dry clutch was proposed based on the analysis of DCT starting process. A DCT starting dynamic model with that strategy above was established and simulated in Matlab/Simulink. Friction work of the dual dry clutch in several starting condition was calculated in order to provide the boundary conditions for the thermal characteristics analysis of the dual dry clutch.⑤In order to validate whether the thermal characteristics of the designed dual dry clutch meet the design requirement, the temperature field, thermal stress field and thermal deformation of the dual dry clutch in the extreme condition were simulated in the finite element analysis software ANSYS.
