Due to the advantages like smoothly transmitting, compacting structure, little liquid fluctuation as well as a long life, the sealed twin-screw pump has been applied in shipping,chemical engineering,metallurgy and electrical power industries. Relevant technology is not mature enough in China and problems like unstable movement, high power loss, fast wear out, etc. always occur which has limited a further application and development of the pump. Therefore,research the profile design and processing technology of twin-screw rotor has important theoretical significance and practical value.The research work presented in this thesis can be summarized as follows:The sealed twin-screw pump's transmission principle and structure style are analyzed,and its four types sealing norm and its tooth profile design principal and request are proposed. By using the screws design method, the current tooth figure modification is conducted, and then the combination of the cycloid - Involute - cycloid tooth profile is proposed.Helical screw surface equation and spiral surface normal equation are derived. Based on 3D software and C++ language and the secondary development of Pro/E technology, screws'3D modeling module, as well as the driving and trailing screws'model are developed,then virtual assembled and its interface is checked,which verified design's correction.The osculatory equation of the twin-screw pump's helical screw surface with profile cutter is solved with matlab anonymous function, and the main and follower screw's profile cutter is obtained by the coordinate transformation, which provided data for the design of the profile cutter.The helical surface of the detection principle and common machining inspection method of the twin-screw pump's rotor are proposed. The geometric characteristics'measurement of the spiral surface has been identified by analyzing the formation of the helical screw surface. The measurement programs has been designed by checking the machined screw's data of the typical line to determine whether screw qualified, or whether satisfied the processing requirements.
