Torsion fatigue testing machine is the key equipment study of materials science experiment which widely used in shipbuilding, automobile, aviation, aerospace and other industrial sectors. Torsion fatigue testing machine has following advantages: simple structure, convenient operation, high efficiency and low energy consumption. It can be used to test a variety of metal materials and some non-metallic materials to resist fatigue fracture properties, rendering fatigue life curve. Electro-hydraulic servo system with high precision, fast response, high power characteristics, so high performance torsion fatigue testing machines almost use electro-hydraulic servo control method.Currently the torsion fatigue testing machine general using electric drive and, hydraulic drive which has small-scale, can not meet the requirements of high-torque fatigue test. Few foreign products in developed countries can meet this requirement, but they are blocked in China's technology, and the products hold at high price. With the current economic development, industry (especially heavy industry) sector have more demand for the products. we have some development on the standard of conventional electro-hydraulic servo testing machine technology, but in some special torsion fatigue testing machine area from abroad, our technical level still have large gaps, so we must do some research in this area as soon as possible.This article design a torsion fatigue testing machine which can be used to detect static and dynamic damping coefficient, stiffness and durability (fatigue life) and other related parameters of flexible coupling, torsion damper and other flexible components. This type of testing machine can be used to do elastic element static and dynamic torsion test and the axial and radial tension and compression tests, the output torque is 0 ~30kN·m, output power 0~150kN, the frequency 0~12Hz, its value can be adjustable control, testing machine precision is 1%.The study gives an overview from the following aspects:①Based on ball screw drive theory, we initially set high torque testing machine torsion function of each parameter as a basis for designing the basic structure of the testing machine;②According to the parameters, we use the 3D modeling software Pro / E to build high-torque multi-entity model of torsion test machine. Through the virtual assembly process simulation, we analysis of the intervention of various parts; ③First we lead the model of force converter which building by Pro / E into ADAMS software to dynamic simulate, modeling agencies focus on the ball movement, then we obtain the torque output parts, balls motion curve and the force curve of balls contact with the shaft and the jacket, through the analysis of the curve we get the dynamic response characteristics of the machine;④We use ANSYS software to analysis the model of force converter, emphatically analyses the contact stress between balls and raceway. Then we get the ball and raceway stress distribution between the clouds and thus conclude the main failure mode of organization;⑤According to the simulation results of the model we modify the parameters to meet the optimal design. In the optimization of the design we are trying to reduce cost, make the structure simpler, assembly and disassembly more easily and have a beautiful appearance. After optimization we make a prototype to test the mechanical properties .Based on ball screw drive theory, we designed a high-torque multi-torsion test machine; this type of testing machine has following characteristics: simple structure, high transmission efficiency, high output torque, good synchronization performance. Based on the research, we enriched the theory of testing machine. If developed the machine successfully, we will make up the domestic blank.
