In the Wenchuan earthquake, the damage of reinforced concrete frame structuremanifested very clearly. Due to the whole lateral rigidity of pure frame structurerelatively small, in strong earthquake the lateral deformation is large, and it causessome of the frame columns destabilizing damage. Because of redundancy of thesystem quite few, it likely forms continuous collapse and the whole structure turnover.For adding the redundancy of the whole structure, it could be added a few ofreinforced shear walls to promote the whole resisting collapse capability of framestructure.In this paper, various kinds of few shear walls disposal modes are comparinganalyzed by means of elastic response spectrum. The feasible plane disposal modesand the influence by different mounts and modes of walls on the deformed shape offrame structure are deduced. The improving of elastic inter-story drift of framestructure by the earthquake loading on few shear wall frame structure is validated.Moreover, the corresponding relation between wall bearing different turnover momentratio and elastic inter-story drift ratio is analyzed.Finally, the bearing capability, yielding and failure mechanism and the wholeresisting collapse capability of few shear wall frame structure and pure framestructure by static elastic-plastic(Push-over)analytical method is evaluated.The conclusion indicates that, adding a few of shear walls could improve interstoryelasticity, elastic-plastic deformation, resisting collapse capability, thedistributing state of plastic hinge and prolong the plastic developing process of thewhole structure.
