This thesis undergoes an development of the economical and practical testing equipment for relay box against the absence of intellectual testing equipment in production and field operation of relay box used on military aircraft, especially when the dynamic working condition of the relay boxes are not able to be tested. The tester for aircraft relay box takes advantage of PC/104 control technology, and is a high-tech product for military purpose which has systematically combined technologies in automatic control, computer and testing and control. In combination of the knowledge in the current domestic situation of design of such inspection and testing of aircraft relay boxes, and the technical requirements in the company for testing equipment, this thesis, starting with the demands for military operation, has illustrated requirements and contents of the development of relay box, as well as the value and significance of such research; and moreover, it provides further exposition of the overview of automatic testing technology for relay box. Among other things, it has detailed the description of mechanism of computer automatic testing for relay boxes, recounted the methods of computer aided testing, and by comparing such method with the traditional manual testing methods, produced the hardware structure and software concept of the testing system of relay box testing equipment with the inlaid PC/104 as the core, and it has been tested and validated. The equipment of such testing will greatly improve the efficiency in testing and play an important role in ensuring the quality of relay box, increase the accuracy of testing, and play an important role in assuring the quality of relay boxes.
