Research On Ecological Garden City Construction In Northwest Region

The northwest region is the drought area of physical geographic regions of china. Its specialties decide the specialties and sensibility of ecologic environment. with the acceleration of the western development and the increasing number of population, ecological condition is getting worse and worse. It not only restricts the development of economic and social affairs in local region but also threatens the regions around it. the construction of ecological garden city is good for the further improvement of ecological environment. While the current study and practice is mainly based on the cities and regions in the coast of southeast of china, compared with the northwest part of china, the current situation determines the construction style of"ecological garden city"is different from the eastern regions.Our article is focused on the study of ecological garden city based on the special natural environment in the northwest, put forward the countermeasure of building the ecological garden city in the northwest drought region by theory of landscape ecology, and mountain basin style in northwestern region and the analysis of ecologic characteristic of landscape in wetland and oases in the core of water and by the important connected effect brought by the corridor in drought area in the function of ecologic landscape and the fragility and controllability in drought landscape. It contains the parts as follows:①the amount,size,scale of oasis plaque.②the establishment of ecologic corridor③the protection of diversity of species④the regularization and proper utilization of water resources⑤mountainous region around the city——ecological management of desert conditions .The northwest region is in the special geomorphological structure with mountainous region, oasisi and desert. the interaction of each other influences the existence and development of the city sharply. So the construction of ecological garden city not only stay in the built-up area but also pay attention to the whole natural features of a land surface in order to analyze the specificity of the construction of ecological garden city in the northwest region.Take korla in xinjiang province as a example. We analyze and discuss the construction of ecological garden city in the northwest region in two aspects: the planning of oasis ecologic landscape in built-up area .and the ecological management in the desert and the corridor of river near the city. Give the addition to situation which is short of the theory in the northwest area in ecological garden city. Forming a universally applicable theory and strategy in the construction of ecological garden city in the northwest area.
