Staggered truss system wtith steel-timber combined structure is a new type of green, practical housing pattern, which has broad prospect for development. This paper reviews the staggered truss structure and timeber structure, and studies the seismic performance of staggered truss steel-timber combined structure.The writer analyzes the staggered truss system with steel-timber combined structure by PUSHOVER with SAP2000. Three kinds of models were established: fall-to-ground staggered truss system with steel-timber combined structure, not fall-to-ground staggered truss system with steel-timber combined structure and staggered truss system with pure steel structure. Considering seven and eight degree earthquake-resistance and using capacity spectrum method, the writer gets their load-displacement curve, capacity spectrum curve, performance points, the maximum displacement of the top performance point and the maximum angular displacement between layers. Then he analyzes the sequence of plastic hinge generated and the weak position of the structure. The results show that fall-to-ground steel-timber combined structure of staggered truss system has good ductility, energy dissipation capacity, small structural deformation, so it has good seismic performance under strong earthquakes. There is no truss at the bottom of not fall-to-ground steel-timber combined structure of staggered truss system. Through the structural deformation, the maximum base shear bear, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of the analysis, we can see that the seismic performance of it is not significantly weaker than fall-to-ground staggered truss system with steel-timber combined structure. Pure steel staggered truss system composite floor with profiled steel sheet, whose weight is far greater than the timber framed floor, makes a substantial increase in inertial force floors, and its intensity was weaker than timber framed floor. Through analysis, the structural deformation is greater than steel-timber combined structure, and it has a relatively poor seismic performance.The writer analyzes the staggered truss system with steel-timber combined structure by dynamic elastic-plastic time-history analysis with SAP2000. Selecting EL centro seismic waves, Lanzhou seismic wave and Shanghai seismic wave that is the TAFT artificial waves, calculates displacement curves of the top floor and the maximum story drift angle under seven and eight degree earthquake-resistance, and draws the layer displacement envelope and the story drift envelope, to assesses their seismic performance, verifies the static Pushover analysis conclusions.Finally, to the characteristics of staggered truss system wtith steel-timber combined structure, develops a set of fire and corrosion prevention design.
