Research On The Darning In The Developing Dynamic City

As the continuous development of cities, many old districts of cities have faced with a lot of problems, therefore the update of old districts has become a hot issue in the urban development research in today's world. Many cities took large-scale update mode, while practice had proved this mode would thoroughly cut off urban space, cultural inheritance and regional features etc.. Besides, due to historical reasons, many old districts didn't achieve the ideal state after reconstruction, and needed for further reform and completion. The status quo of old districts is a multiple and unified whole as a result of each element in the urban system interaction, it is, to a certain extent, a miniature of city life and history, and expression of specific groups'life style. As a consequence, in the process of updating old districts, we should fully realize the To fully realize the diversity of the city itself, respect the tradition and people's activities, summarize and create updating methods to enhance the city and maintain history tradition. In such circumstances, I propose an updating strategy with theme of darn city, based on respecting the existing pattern of city, with the target of continuing urban resident familiar living environment. By optimizing urban ecological system, combing urban spatial texture, and integrating urban morphology, we update the old district, and create a dynamic, good ecological, full of appeal, livable city environment with cultural characteristics and sustainable development.Based on the domestic and foreign research and practice of theoretical analysis and concluded that current domestic urban renewal theory research and practice exist in the key of the city darn content and a systematic approach and the corresponding target element and principles, and to Xi'an as the research object, in front of the establishment of the basis of the theoretical system, through the city of Xi'an Shun Lane (Guangren Temple - a small section of the north gate), and both Temple Area of the darn designed to empirical research methods, to further explore the darn use.
