As an efficient, energy-saving, environmental protection and sustainable development of advanced technology, water source heat pump is being widely used in air conditioning energy efficiency area. Chongqing has abundant surface water resources with good quality and appropriate temperature, and water source heat pump technology has been regarded as the most suitable and promising renewable energy alternative. However, as the concentratin of sands which are mostly very fine is very high, so water and water treatment technology has been the limit for its wide application in the upper Yangtze River watershed. This dissertation propsed that cyclone desander is appropriate for provisioning enough water quality for water source heat pump in the above mentioned area because of the advantages of being able to equipment, free of chemicals addition and no chemical sludge. However, the application of cyclone desander and other products in the current project or other markets, are still unable to meet the upper Yangtze River raw water quality and the requirements of heat pump units, so it still need to carry out targeted research and development.Based on the literature review on current research on water source heat pump system, the analysis on water resources condition for the development of surface water source heat pump in Chongqing, combined with the indicator of the water requirements of water source heat pump units and application status of cyclone desander in water source heat pump system, this paper points out that cyclone desander should have higher fine grit removal efficiency, lower power consumption and better adaptability to the water source heat pump system operating characteristics. In response to the above requests, this paper presents the method of increasing the diameter of the feeding tube and overflow tube and increasing the central air duct to reducing energy consumption, on the basis of the literature review on current research on cyclone desander, the grit removal experiment results of cyclone desander available on the market, FXDS100-PU-â…¡type cyclone desander, simulating the Yangtze River water. The main research results are as follows:1) FXDS100-PU-II type cyclone desander, according to the topic group, has certain effect on fine grit removal, but the overflow water failed to meet water quality requirements of heat pump units. Lower concentration overflow water need higher energy loss; 2) Feeding tube diameter Di increased from 32mm to 39mm, in the same feed pressure, the cyclone desander processing capacity increased by 20%, unit of energy flow of separation reduced by 10%, and little effect on separation;3) Overflow pipe diameter Do increased from 30mm to 35mm, 40mm, in the same feed pressure, the cyclone desander processing capacity increased, the unit energy consumption reduced, but the increasing of overflow pipe diameter is to a certain extent on the separation impact. Larger the diameter of the overflow pipe, the higher the concentration of overflow;4) After adding the central air duct, in the same feed pressure, the cyclone desander has greater feed flow rate and lower unit flow energy consumption. Capacity increased as the increasing insertion depth of of the central air duct. When the insertion depth of 40cm, the energy consumption of unit of flow can be reduced by about 17%, but the phenomenon of overflow with coarse particles become serious and the separation is the worst. When the insertion depth of 20cm, cyclone desander has better separation and lower energy consumption;5) Based on the FXDS100-PU-II type cyclone desander structural parameters, cyclone desander has better separation and lower energy consumption when the feeding tube diameter Di increased from 32mm to 39mm, overflow pipe diameter Do increased from 35mm to 40mm, and the insertion depth of 20cm. Comared with conventional water treatment processes, improved new cyclone desander has big advantage in the area, and on the removal of fine sediment. In the same pressure lowering of 0.08MPa, the improved new cyclone desander, compared with FXDS100-PU-II type cyclone desander, has significantly increased processing capacity, almost the same separation performance, and no significant changes in product costs, so it is feasible in the technology economically.The findings are helpful to the theoretical study of cyclone desander and application in surface water source heat pump system and the improvements also has a reference on the cyclone desander industry.
