Water supply system is one of the most important infrastructures in urban,which is also a large energy consumer with huge energy-saving potential. Reducing the energy consumption of the water supply system is the requirement of social healthy development to water supply enterprises, but also the main approach of water supply enterprises to improve the economic benefits. As the water supply systems is large in investment, complex in system, involve wide range, currently in the planning and design, operation management of our water supply system, have irrational phenomenon to varying degrees ,cause the use of energy inefficient and waste of energy, increase business costs. Therefore, aimed at water supply system of urban, from the several major point of water supply system, energy saving and optimization are studied in this paper.In this paper, for the purposes of researching energy saving and optimization of water supply systems, based on previous research achievements, the paper systematically studies four parts as follows: energy saving and optimization of water pumping station, energy saving and optimization of water distribution networks, scientific control of pipeline leakage and optimal selection of water supply pipe.â‘ Energy saving and optimization of water pumping station.In urban water supply system, pump station energy saving upgrading and optimal operation is the main way to reduce energy consumption. This paper analyzes energy saving upgrading methods in theoretical of pump station, introduces the ways to optimal select the pumps of pump station, and builds a mathematical model of optimizing selection of water pump. For optimal operation of pumping stations, this paper sets up a mathematical model of optimal operation. Pump optimal selection model and optimal operation model are verified by an engineering case and the result proves the feasibility of the models.â‘¡Energy and water supply network optimizationReasonable planning and design of water supply network is the critical step to achieve energy saving. The paper analyzes the energy saving principle to the zoning water supply of the water pipes and water pipe network, analyzes the reasonable method of pipe network layout. The paper analyzes the pipe ways and the choice of pipe ways of the long-distance water pipe. Together with the zone network investment and operating cost, the paper establishing a cost model of pipeline network about reasonable partition, and analyzes whether zoning through an instance of the pipeline network. Utilizing the cost model of pipe network, the paper estimate annual costs of water supply unified and zone, results shows the energy saving effect and economic feasibility of the pipe network zoning.â‘¢Scientific management of pipe network leakageSaving water is saving energy. High leakage rate of water supply networks is the main factor of high energy consumption of water supply enterprises. The paper analyzes the main leakage indicators of the water supply pipe network and offers proposal to the leakage indicators choice. The paper introduces several main measures to control of the pipeline leakage s. From the economic point of view, the paper analyzes economic level of leakage of pipe network, and presents a mathematical model of economic leakage rate. Through the example analysis and economic calculation of pipe network leakage, the results shows that the water supply enterprise has not yet reached the economic level of leakage, there is still much room for reducing leakage.â‘£Optimal selection of water supply pipeOptimal selection of water supply pipe is a important aspect of energy saving and reducing investment in pipe network. Commonly used water supply pipe are introduced and comparative analyzed in the paper. Comprehensive consideration of water quality, safety and reliability, water conditions and other factors, value analysis method is applied to the optimal selection of water supply pipe. According to the results of analysis, delivery pipe, large-medium and medium-small diameter water pipeline are recommended in selection and use.
