Valve is the indispensable fluid control equipment in the national economic sectors such as Petroleum, Chemistry industry, Power station, transportation pipeline, shipbuilding, nuke industry, cryogenic engineering, astronavigation and oil extraction, etc. Furthermore, the adjustment, opening and closing of valve are controlled by the driving torque and actual loading torque. Additionally, testing the on and off torque can not only evaluate the valve performance but also help to determine how to match electrical equipment.Combing the sensor, virtual equipment, computer science and mechanical engineering, an automatically versatile valve testing apparatus with high degree of accuracy was designed to conquer the disadvantage of inefficiency, short precision, and poor universal application from traditional ways of testing valve's torque, to provide a reasonable basis for matching the electric devices with the valves and help designers optimize valve's structure.Mechanical structure is the central body of the test machine. It was emphasized by the mechanical structure of the test machine in the paper. First, a universal frame and clamping device for valve were designed. A drive device which can drive valve flexibly was designed to adapt to the different desire of drive torque by combing the magnetic clutch with the frequency conversion.A dept discussion was made on the fix of the drive equipment. Combing with the theoretical knowledge on hydraulic control, flexible loading equipment which can regulate the work condition of the valve was designed. At the same time,the control strategy for the flexible loading equipment was studied and simulated.Regarding to the observation and control part of the test machine, signal conditioning device and data gathering card were selected. Meanwhile, on the basis of functional requirements, the block design was accessed by using LabVIEW. For the interference in the system, some anti- interference design was done from both side of hardware and software to make the accuracy assured.Finally, a simulation test was given to the relative module, the test results prove that the test machine for valve's static and dynamic torque developed is easy to be operated and is with high accuracy which can meet the specifications demand for testing the valve's dynamic and static torque.
