Main Engine Remote Control System (M/E RCS) is an important part of Engine room automation system, and its performance will directly affect the safe operation of ship.Ship automation based on Integrated Platform Management System (IMPS) developed from ship integrated automation to ship and shore integration. Absorption of foreign advanced technology and management experience makes sense that M/E RCS with simulation and diagnostic functions guarantee the safe, reliable and best operating conditions, which facilitates system maintenance and management, and that means valueable significance.With the fault diagnostic function and embedded simulation training in the device, on the one hand, enginerrs can get the knowledge of the working conditions of the system, to timely check the possible fault existed and keep it at best which avoids serious accident and economic loss, and on the other hand, operator can correctly know well of work principle and characteristics of actual M/E RCS, and also can shorten the adaptation period of the crew by hands-on training.Combination of embedded systems and field bus technology, to improve and perfect the functions of Marine Engine Remote Control System (M/E RCS), a practical technology solution based on embedded simulate technology and diagnostic technology is introduced in this paper.In this paper, the M/E RCS of medium-speed plant is studied, and after analysis of the working principle of the system, a feasible solution of the key technology of system embedded is put forward.In the design process of the device, completed the following tasks:(1) The design of system function.Referring to relevant design specifications, put forward an overall program of M/E RCS based on embedded simulate technology and diagnostic technology, and be important to introduce embedded simulation training and fault diagnostic function.(2) The demonstration of system archteciture.To set the embedded function, in ensuring the premise of an independent structure, from the point of system data sharing method, demonstrated a reasonable framework for system expansion, so proposed a solution to sytem architecture design.(3) The realization of functional modulesIn the system architecture framework, studied the key technology of the system embedded. The ways and means to achieve both functions are detailed in the solution, including adding the necessary hardware and software in the M/E RCS device.
