With its unique features, the tower crane can not be replaced by any engineering machine. Once the tower crane accidents occur, it would cause serious casualties and severe damage to property. So, preventing the tower crane accidents and achieving the safe operation of tower are of great practical significance. In this paper, the obstacle avoidance in the space of multi-tower crane and the tower crane remote monitoring are as the background. The spatial position orientation model and the motion model of the tower crane have been established. The active obstacle avoidance control in multi-crane collaboration has been researched. On this basis, the tower crane safe remote monitoring system has been developed. These studies have great practical significance.For the obstacle avoidance of the tower crane, the paper firstly uses the robot kinematics method to build the spatial position orientation model and the motion model of the tower crane that applied any types. On this basis, combined with the active obstacle avoidance thought, a set of standard algorithms of the crane's spatial obstacle avoidance control are given. The algorithms can be described to variety of collision instance in the practical projects. The algorithm flow is also given, and it can be illustrated in the example between the flat crane and the jib crane.Strengthen the supervision on the tower crane is an important measure to improve the construction safety. Considering the work condition of the tower crane, the paper has done research on the safe remote monitor system of the tower crane. First of all, we analyze the function requirement of the safe remote monitor system of the tower crane, design the system's framework, and discuss several important problems about the safe remote monitor system. At last, the specific details of the remote monitor platform system are illustrated in paper, including the hardware components and software flow of the background server, the system terminal and the protocols in the'remote monitor platform and so on.The engineering application has proved that the spatial model applied in the anti-collision compute can be described all kinds of collision problem. At the same time, the safe remote monitor system of the tower crane has been applied in the practical projects.
