With the rural economic development and urban-rural integration process speeds up, the living conditions in rural areas have also changed a lot. These problems have become barriers for the modern rural residence of Guanzhong area to have a scientific and suitable developing mode.Modern common people residence in five cities of Guanzhong area is the study object of this thesis, the train of thought is as follows, villages research-types of induction-cause analysis-propose a solution, there are several kinds of methods for the research of this thesis, includes rural households visiting, taking photos for the residence, communicating with the villagers and so on, this thesis makes a lot of research about the problem of categorization in the development of modern common people residence. Meanwhile, it revives the deep-seated reasons behind the appearance and several myths about the development of the modern rural residence, based on these researches, the thesis also discusses the suitable mode of modern residential development.The article is began with further research to twenty-four villages of Guanzhong area and accumulated a wealth of basic information, gives an intuitive and faithfully reflection about the modern common people residence by the way of villages introducing and households visiting. Then basis on the information obtained from the villages researching, with the introduction of different classification criteria, the thesis studies on the categorization of modern rural residence from various angles in order to form a complete understanding system. Finally, the thesis revives several myths about the development of the modern rural residence, and according to the above theory, the thesis gives modeled designs of the modern common people residence and discusses the suitable mode of modern residential development.
