Study On Architectural Design Of Central Supply Service Department

Central Supply Service Department is also named central sterile supply department, which is responsible for the work of cleaning and sterilizing medical apparatus and instruments and supplying various sterile instrument, surgical dressing and other sterile materials. With the feature of many medical instrument, rapid turnover and strict requirement of aseptic technique, it is known as the "heart" of hospital.As the rapid development of modern medical science and technology and constant improvement of the health care system in China, more and more supervisors and constructors of hospital attach importance to the role of CSSD on controlling the infection of hospital. Nowaday the centre of controlling the pollution in hospital has shifted from purifying environment to controlling pollutant source. Therefore, the important part of constructing modern hospital under new situation is to enhance the construction of CSSD, update cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and enhance the supervision and management of sterilization to ensure the CSSD operate effectively and efficiently so as to achieve the best control of infection in hospital.At present, except CSSD in a few of big hospitals whose architecture and layout is close to the level of developed European countries, a lot of hospital need to be reconstructed and expanded or update their equipment for various problems existing in the scale and process of construction.In view of the above, from the aspect of architectural and technological design, the paper research and analyze the overall layout, function zoning, process flow and equipment requirement of CSSD under new situation. According to the CSSD of hospital available, espcilly the condition of the CSSD construction in hospital in the northwest, the paper find out the negative factor leading to the pollution of hospital and try to resolve it so as to provide some suggestion which can be used for reference.
