The research of urban spatial structure is the object of numerous disciplines, especially urban geography, urban planning, architecture. Since the last century accelerating pace of urbanization in China, at present, it is that high-incidence season of a variety of urban problems. This situation asks urban spatial structure research for more research. Urban spatial structure should continue to integrate the theories and research methods of urban planning, urban geography and related disciplines, in order to change emphasis on abstract and speculative analysis. The research should pay attention to positivity, macrocosm, perspective, scientific, and practical. The spatial analysis and simulation of quantitative prediction of urban spatial structure are what should be taken note of.This paper studies the evolution of urban spatial structure characteristics since the reform and opening up, urban spatial expansion was predicted of Yanji urban. The paper, based on a number of research at home and abroad,3S (GIS, RS, GPS) technology. This is the first time of ESDA (Exploratory Space Data Analysis) analysis techniques applied to the study of urban internal spatial structure. It can be used to analyze the study of urban internal spatial structure, spatial distribution, to explore and analysis the whole and partial gathering areas, hot spots of urban spatial structure and so on. This provides a very useful and visual spatial analysis tools for preliminary analysis of urban planning and the design of urban planning program. This paper also firstly embeds Gray prediction interval ranged model into CA models, to build Gray-USEM model that coupling of the GIS, ANN, CA, and Gray. The model takes into many factors of influencing urban expansion; To a great extent it makes full use of artificial neural network to simplify the conversion rules.In this paper, it has been used two analytical methods that ESDA analytical techniques and circular analysis method to analyze the historical evolution of Yanji Urban Internal Spatial Structure for 1999-2009 years. It has been anglicised urban spatial expansion of 1976-2009, though "equal fan analysis method". Firstly, using ESDA analytical techniques, it can be concluded:the third industry continuously walks into urban center, the scope is expending; green land has been showed characteristics of uniform diffusion and multi-polarization of concentration areas; pattern of urban functions is obvious, urban functional areas has been gradually established, the northern area is gradually becoming a living area, the center of education, culture, health and sports has also been formed in the west, the eastern industrial area has been basically formed. Secondly, through using circular analysis method we can found that:the public facilities land has mostly expanded in the outskirts of the city, then green land has been gradually reduced in downtown; living land has increase more in the outskirts of the city; from concentration index of four major categories land, we know residential land grew fastest, instead of green land declined most largely. Thirdly, block groups of urban form has been transformed into star-shaped, the use of "equal fan analysis method", obtained through the analysis:urban spatial expansion mainly along the "Buerhatong river" and "smoke set River", the intensity of expansion of the three bands is higher; During the years of 2001-2009, the conditions of over-concentration on a few directions has been changed, in all directions of different expansion decreases.This paper predicts the status of urban spatial expansion from 2010 to 2020 in Yanji city, and it uses the methods of Gray prediction interval ranged and gray-USEM models. The amount of Yanji urban morphology area will come to 122.8 square kilometers in 2020, it will still maintain the fast extended tendency, and the amount is big; the city will still expand along the three directions, east and west and north, but mainly concentrated in north and eastern part. The urban expansion will transform from spreading expansion characteristic of the low speed, to the caper-like fast expansion pattern, there will be a number of inter-bands in south and north-west, and the eastern city of Yanji will also appear a small number of jumps land.The author concluded that Yanji urban spatial structure optimization goal of the future should be:meet the requirements of the future information society; to eco-city goal, comply with ecological requirements; build a sustainable urban spatial structure and morphology, through the evolution of urban spatial structure analysis and prediction simulation of urban expansion, with the laws of the world's urban development, China's urban development of special laws and Yanji City actually. In the future, Yanji City should give full play to the policies and guiding role of urban planning, protecting the ecological environment, ensure ecological safety of Yanji City, to solve the rapid spread of cities, urban compact enough, the irrational distribution of urban land, the expansion of the number of near the airport, and so on.
