Research On Capacity Of Passenger Channel In Passenger Station

Passenger channel, which is the place of the passenger assemble and evacuate, is the basis traffic facilities of passenger station, including overbridge, underground path, stairs (ramps), ticket gate, the train doors, etc. The passenger channel capacity should match transport capacity of the passenger station, and it should effectively improve transport capacity of the passenger station. In case of passenger flow fixed, transport capacity of the passenger station is affected by the terminal layout, has also been influenced of passenger channel capacity. So it is necessary to conduct these studies of passenger channel capacity, which can provide a theoretical basis for rational distribution of the passenger station, improvement of transport capacity of the passenger station and capacity achievement of coordinate points and lines.Based on a large number of data, which was collected in the Beijing Passenger Station, Beijing West Passenger Station and Beijing South Passenger Station, this paper analyzes the passenger traffic characteristics on passenger channel; it makes statistical analysis of ticket checking capacity and the actual use of escalator, and puts forward the design capacity reference value. On basis of flow and density data in Beijing passenger station stairs and ramps, this paper analyzes the stairs and ramps capacity and establishes the stairs and ramp's flow-density model, then bring forward the stairs and ramps design capacity reference value. This article describes the existing capacity calculation method of cross-line equipment, statistical analyses the collected flow and speed data on the underground path in Beijing Passenger Station, and gives the design capacity reference value on the passenger channel. Finally, the paper statistics the capacity of the door both powered trains and ordinary trains, and puts forward the capacity to reference value of the train door.
