OLTC(on-load tap change) of traditional mechanical style is commonly used in power systems all over the world at present. However, that OLTC method is of some defects such as arcing, slow regulation response, high probability of mechanical failures so that it can not meet the development requirements of modern society. This thesis mainly designed a contactless OLTC device using the DSP as the control unit and thyristor switcher, in order to solve the pulse current problem in OLTC process, this thesis through a single-phase experimental verification of the zero current cutting off control strategy, and derive the three-phase control strategy of the contactless OLTC, and research the transient process of the contactless OLTC on fundamental. In the final part of this paper, this method was verified by numerical simulation and some three-phase tests of different load condition.
