Taking the study of inner Mongolia Jinqiao power plant desulfurization pumps, this thesis described the principles and methods that the object-oriented programming language Visual Basic further develop SolidWorks, systematically illuminate the further development approach of 3D solid modeling software—SolidWorks.Combining with mixed-type slurry pump hydraulic design methods, the mixed-type slurry pump impeller and volute 3D solid model was automatically generated by parameter design methods through the database and by the use of SolidWorks software(from point to a line, a line to the surface, from surface to the entity's configuration method). Then the solid-liquid two phase flow field of desulfurization slurry pump was simulated by CFD software FLUENT6.2.The law of particle velocity distribution, pressure distribution and abrasion characteristics on different conditions of diameter and concentration of solid particles was initially revealed. The aim of this paper is to provide several references for designing better desulphurization pump, reducing erosion and extending the life of desulphurization pump.
