From Texas Houses To Wall Houses: Logic Of Form And Poetic In Hejduk's Work

The subject mainly discusses the process in Hejduk's work through logic of form to poetry in architecture. By the analysis of nine cases ranging by time from the Texas Houses period to the Wall Houses period, there is an attempt to discover the generator that how the poetry of form finally emerges.Hejduk dealt with fabrication and clarity. Yet they include the potential force which can go beyond the logic itself. They lead to projection and reduction. And both projection and reduction as methodology have the possibility to serve as an introduction to the meanings and the world of phenomenon. It is just the generator that approaching the poetry.At the same time, a critical research will come to the conclusion that there is a risk that the logic of form can lead to dogma and Formalism.
