This article is about the investigation and study of water resource in Laiwu Power Station. It contains following contents:Preface:Analysis about current situation of water resource and its development and use. The rationality of construction water supply and analysis for degree of assurance. The argumentation of water resource for water supply from Xueye Reservoir, the argumentation of water resource from Zhongshui, the argumentation of water resource for water supply from the dam across Muwen River. The any lysis and conclusion of water intake and release and some suggestions.Using the theory of water conservation and water resource optimization, an evaluation and analysis was made for current situation of the water resource development and use in Laiwu City. According to the principal:" Make prior use of surface water, develop underground water reasonably, save every drop of water, supply water according to the water's quality" According to the situation of local water resource, demand and supply relationship is analyzed in 2005. The outcome goes following:50% and 75% of reliability is balanced roughly. When the reliability is 95%, municipal water and industrial water is assured, but agricultural water is short of supply to some extent.The analysis has been made for water supply ability and reliability in Xueye Reservoir and Muwen River Dam by basing on the analysis of present water resources in Zhongshui and Laiwu City. The analysis was focused on the water supply ability and reliablity in Muwen River Dam and Xueye reservoir. Benefits regulation calculation had been made for years, using the Chronological Series Method to calculate the loss of inflow of water.After the investigation and calculation, under the condition of 97% reliability, the water supply is enough for the consumption in city and industrial area, but it will reduce the agricultural irrigation. That is why we should adjust the water resource and minimize the influence to the agricultural irrigation. No other user use the water in Muhe River Dam, so the water intaking will not influence other water users. The reliability of water supply is 97% in sewage area. The water quality in Zhongshui has been treated through after purification in power station and the water meets the requirement of the industrial use.So the conclusion is:the expansion of the project is available, water supply is assured.
