Firstly the paper presented the actuality of studying planar cam CAD,expatiated the necessity of developing planar cam CAD and analyzed the developing current and existent problem of planar cam CAD.Next,it studied and analyzed some theories and computing methods on the design of planar cam,geometric curve of cam, elasticity system of planar cam modle and optimization design of mathematical model.On the basis of MATLAB and Pro/E design software.It studied and analyzed on the design of geometric curve of cam, parameterization design of cam contours and motion simulation of cam contours.In view of the current mapping software to create a flat disc-shaped cam profile of the process cumbersome and difficult to create, design flat plate cam and the majority of the necessary multi-parameter model in the three-dimensional CAD Cam system is not visible the issue is not commercialization, the subject of the use of Pro/ENGINEER to provide programmable tool Pro/PROGRAM, developing a planar disk cam CAD system accord with user request bonds to GUI of MATLAB. Firstly the system to provide a design of cam interface. after the system can be entered by the user the basic parameters of the cam, the automatic generation of contour curve model of the cam,and draw into Pro/ENGINEER to ibl formats and use them. then open three-dimensional parameters of the module cam from Pro/E, and by amending parameters, system will obtain a new cam mechanism. Finally,.It simulation analyzed and dynamic analyzed on cam mechanism on the basis of Pro/Mechanism.In this paper, the main research contents are as follows:1. Introduced a kinematic law of the follower in a cam mechanism of general cam curve modeling method, cam curve design programs can automatically create displacement.velocity. acceleration. jump curve by means of inputted in initialization of value, boundary condition and seven parameters of time, at the same time,it can work out best type of cam curves in a particular situation Sm,Vm,Am,Jm. Ultimately, cam mechanism of general cam curves are synthetically evaluated by fuzzy evaluation method,and get reasonable outcome.2. Pro/ENGINEER secondary development and interface technology research and application.3. Building of cam mechanism dynamic model and drawing some parameters, we are scheduling on elasticity system of planar cam mechanism on the basis of MATLAB. Briefly expounded the thinking of programming4. Building of mathematical model of cam mechanism optimization design. How to fix on design variable, objective function and constraint condition is specified.then function results are calculated by of tool-box matlab genetic algorithms. finally function results are reflected by curve chart.5. Three-dimensional solid model cam module automatically. User input in accordance with the basic parameters of the cam, retrieve the corresponding template library cam cam model three-dimensional model, generated automatically to meet the needs of users of three-dimensional solid model of the cam.
