The shaping machine is a part of important work station of the automatic packing line for the copper. The frame is used to load and assemble the hydraulic cylinder as well as some other component and absorb load when machine is working. The frame is supposed to have sufficient intensity and rigidity. Therefore, the frame is analyzed base on finite-element method in this paper. After the model of the closed-type frame is built, the stress distribution and the strain distribution of the frame are obtained in the static performance research on the frame through the software ANSYS. The effect of the frame in the dynamic test of the testing system is obtained in the dynamic performance research. The main content is as following:Firstly, the geometric model is built base on the actual size as well as the material characteristics through the software ANSYS, and then the finite-element model is generated. The edge-restraint condition is defined according to the load on the frame. The stress distribution under the max load is obtained in the static analysis of the frame through ANSYS, the value and the position of the max stress are ascertained; the deformation in all directions of the frame is also obtained, the entire rigidity of the frame is ascertained. The stress concentrated Parts and the weak ones can be found.Secondly, in this paper, the static character of open-back frame and close-back frame are analyzed, and the static analysis results are compared. Based on the results of the comparison, this paper choose close-back frame as the best model.Again, the frame is analyzed in dynamic type, including the modal analysis, harmonic analysis and transient. Modal analysis of the frame was carried out, Block Lanczos method used to extract the first 10. After the analysis on the influence to the frame under each mode, the possibility of the resonance vibration of the frame is eliminated. In the basis of modal analysis, the frequency response characteristic of the frame is obtained, so as to ascertain the effect of the frame in the system in the frequency response test. The step response characteristic and the reciprocating deformation characteristic of the frame are obtained, so as to study the response of frame under the impulsive loads. A solid foundation is thus set for its dynamic character optimization.Lastly, the structural optimal design program, including the analysis file and optimization file is programmed by the APDL language of ANSYS. The accurate and best design parameters are obtained. The mechanical property of the frame is well improved.
