It was focused on both the thermo-economic analysis and thermo-economic diagnosis of the power plant regenerative system, the results has been presented as follow: (1) Established the general matrix equation of exergy losses distribution as novel theoretical tool applied at the exergy analysis of regenerative system; (2) Educed the mathematic model of exergy analysis evaluation indicator for MPP unit 8 regenerative system, and found out the weak links in regenerative system through this model; (3) Established the working media's thermo-economics pricing model for MPP unit 8 regenerative system, thereby laid the groundwork for thermo-economic diagnosis; (4) Created the thermo-economic diagnosis model for the regenerative system, meanwhile proved this model through employed that in thermo-economic diagnosis of MPP unit 8 regenerative system; (5) Provided the methods of clear diagnoses according to summary and conclusion the common problems, failure causes and signatures.
