Steel structure is one of the main structure in architectural construction. With the development of economy, the range of steel structure application is more and more broad, especially in industry and the civil architecture. But it's fatal weakness is the bad fire resistance.So it significantly to do something with fireproof protection on steel structure. Painting fire-retardant coating on steel structure is widely used in practical project and is also one of the comparatively economical methods. The exceptional characteristic of steel structure fireproof coating is well received by a great many users, and is widely used in steel structure project. That therefore, the scientific and rational choice of the varieties on fireproof coating is crucial to the conflagration security in the steel structure building.On the basis of the investigation into relevant data at home and abroad,this paper analyses the physical property in common species of fireproof coating, and put forward some solutions to the problems when using it. At last, it sum up in four optimization methods in steel structure fireproof coating. It solves the problems in using of fireproof coating to a certain degree.On the basis of reading the domestic and overseas experts'description of tests and conclusion about the fireproof coating, it analyses the changes of temperature in the circumstances of the burning interior of a house. As a result, it gains the proportional relation of coating ply and the steel member critical temperature in high temperature, and enumerates three common calculation methods of steel member critical temperature, and does comparative analysis of the three results.In the process of steel structure fireproof paint application, fireproof coating thickness and fire-resistent limit time are the major matters to be taken into consideration. This paper reaches a proportional relation on coating thickness and fire-resistent limit time through some correlative literatures and experiments, and enumerates three common calculation methods of steel member critical temperature, and compares the three results as well as analyses errors.The engineering design workers have limited knowledge on the relevant information about steel structure fireproof coating. On the basis of collecting relevant information about steel structure fireproof coating, this paper has built steel structure fireproof coating basis data system, for one's sake to acquire integrative information about physical property, manufacturers and prices by offering searching, comparing and choosing function.Achievement got by the main body of a book may provide the relevance reference for steel structure resists fire design and the project applying.
