Light-gauge steel structure has good development prospect, because of light weight, good structural stability, seismic and wind performance, standardized production, recyclable materials, environmental protection and energy saving。The traditional light-gauge steel wall supports force generally by steel frame and structural board, and the application and research on the wall with steel frame and bracing is not deep enough. The performance of the lateral loading capacity of light-gauge steel wall with bracing is studied in thesis by the finite element analysis. The main work as follows:Three different kinds light-gauge steel wall with bracing were discussed: light-gauge steel frame system, light-gauge steel frame-bracing system and light-gauge steel side-bracing system. The Pushover static nonlinear analysis model of SAP2000 is used to analyze the performance of three light-gauge steel walls with bracing; and compares with lateral loading capacity of compound wall with diaphragm; and the influence factors are discussed such as steel net, the height-width ratio, the space between piece pillar.After research work, the following conclusion was got:The loading capacities of the three different kinds of light-gauge steel walls are ranked as light-gauge steel frame-bracing system, light-gauge steel side-bracing system, light-gauge steel frame system. To some extent, steel net has contribution to improve lateral loading capacity of light-gauge steel walls with bracing; and the lateral loading capacity of light-gauge steel wall with bracing supplies the demand of the one with diaphragm. For the same kind of light-gauge steel walls with bracing, the smaller height-width ratio, the better lateral loading capacity of light-gauge steel walls with bracing; which one with the nearer space between piece pillar is better than the other; usually the plastic joints first appears at he bottom of pillar, connection point of the bracing and pillar, which is the most weak place in the wall.This thesis will have certain reference significance for the theoretical study and the practical application of later light-gauge steel structure system.
