Main arch of reinforced concrete arch bridge is a compression-based load-bearing structure, arch cracking, in particular the transverse cracking of arch ring or even radial cracking seriously jeopardizing the structural safety. In this paper, study proposes a new method of reinforcement of reinforced concrete arch ring, according to the reinforcement method (such as increased cross-section method, paste steel, fiber materials method and so on)commonly used of the reinforced concrete main arch ring in the passive characteristics.This paper aim at the cracking more of arch foot and vault in the actual situation of the main arch ring of reinforced concrete arch bridge, proposing targeted the active reinforcement method of prestressed; launching the prestressed reinforcement design of the main arch ring of reinforced concrete arch bridge; though prestressing on the vault and at first increasing concrete section of the local section in the arch foot, then prestressing on the new section, studying the structural deformation and force effect of prestressed reinforcement on the arch vault section ,arch foot section and other control section; according to the structure analysis and test results of prestressed reinforcement of main arch ring of reinforced concrete arch bridge, studying and analyzing the feasibility of the reinforcement method.This paper has a theoretical and practical significance on the promotion of reinforcement technological progress of arch bridge.
