the primarily timber structure was honored by its glorious history, complex technical,quantity, rich scientific cultural connotation and earthquake resistance performance, and held the important status in the building world. Due to times, environment changes and structural defects, many preserved ancient timber buildings need to carry on the effective reinforcement maintenance work promptly.In this paper, based on an low-cyclic reversed loading experiment of three unreinforced frames and reinforced frames. We obtained hysteretic curves, Skeleton curves of the frames and mortise-tenon joint. According to analyses the bearing capacity, ductility, energy dissipation capacity stiffness of the unreinforced frames and reinforced frames, The test results show that we obtain a good effect with the joint reinforced by CFRP sheet.Under the research of mechanics characteristic and structure form, we proposed the semi-rigid connection of mortise-tenon joint model with rotational spring and dashpot, obtain the reinforced wooden frame stiffness matrix and propose a formula. Through scientific research, All of these not only provide a reference for the maintenance and reinforcement of ancient buildings, but also points out a new way for the development of structure.
