Studies On Design Of Modular High-rise Residential Buildings Performance-based Fire Design Research

In the past 20 years, with the rapid development of economic and the considerable progress of technology, high buildings have become one of the major urban constructions in our country. At the same time, high residential buildings not only cause many difficulties to the fire safety designs and fire fightings, but also bring tremendous challenges to the current building fire safety design standards.The existing"in the form of"building fire safety design standards and methods have implied many deficiencies and can not to be able to solve the emergent problems of a high level, ultra high level and complex functions construction designs, increasingly fail to meet the requirements of building fire safety, also greatly restricting the development of the architectural and building diversified forms. Based on the fire performance, the building fire design standards are put off in such circumstances. The performance of the fire safety design opens a new sky for the building fire design, it does not only to stick to meet the existing norms of the minimum requirements for the existing buildings, but also supplies reasonable, effective fire safety protection to them. Therefore, the performance of fire safety construction is the general trend to ensure the buildings safety.But now, the modular senior residential fire research work in our country is limited in the way of the normative provisions, the performance of fire safety design methods have not been very well understanded and implemented, which is negative to the development of fire safety perfornance. One footholds of this article is to promote the development of the performance of fire safety design concept for our country, and provide some ideas to the further analysis and research.The paper regards modular high-rise residential buildings as the research object, through practical investigation and research, analysing the problems existing in the building fire safety, and discussing the current inadequacies, as well as the contradiction between the modern architectural designs; and by using the basic idea of performance-based fire safety design, resolving the problems of the performance fire protection design modular high-rise residential buildings.This paper includes five parts, the first part researchs the contexts, and analyses some limitations and deficiencies of the current building fire safety standards; the second part describes the concept, domestic, and the basic steps and methods of assessment of the performance of fire safety; and what people will do in the safe evacuation; the third part introduces the research and analyses to a some high building; and at last, the fourth part designs for a specific example of fire research.
