Face energy shortage and environmental deterioration double crisis, energy conservation has been put on the schedule. As China's rapid economic development and rising living standards, people building indoor environment comfort level required to improve. To this end, people began to pursue the "man and nature"; of the harmony and unity, green building came into being.Green building refers to the whole building life cycle (including site selection, planning, design, construction, operation and dismantling), maximum conservation of resources (energy, land, water and materials), environmental protection and reduce pollution, providing health, application and efficient use of space, architecture and nature coexist in harmony. It is a complex, multidisciplinary systems engineering, this only from the perspective of building energy efficiency green building design. That is, introduced from the building's entire life cycle (including site selection, planning, design, construction, operation and dismantling of all stages of the process) and implementing energy saving ideas, through the construction of the overall planning and design, energy-saving materials and material resource use, renewable resources use of energy-saving aspects of the application of new technologies to begin the construction update sense of comfort construction-green building. Combined with a local example of residential architecture specific analysis shows that full consideration of the residential local geographic and climatic conditions, residential construction tour through the district enclosed layout, rational use of underground space, planting and configuration of native plants, rational use of material resources, on the wall, outside the windows, roof thermal calculation by the energy-saving insulation structure to take reasonable measures, to some extent the use of renewable resources, to achieve energy-efficient design of residential green building. At the same time saving on the local situation analysis, pointed out that the construction of green building is the future development trend of building energy efficiency.
