Study on the system of computer aided design for railway intermediate station which is an important part of the integration of railway survey and design, has an important effect on improving the integration and intelligence of railway survey and design.At present, most of existing design systems for railway station only aim at the plan design, while the vertical section and transect designs need other software to accomplish, at the same time the data for vertical section and transect designs can be get only by measuring or reading on a map. The main purpose of this thesis is to achieve a three-dimensional design system with plan, vertical section and transect designs. Firstly, the digital terrain model will be founded. Secondly, some functions in the given existing design for plan will be expanded. Finally, the given existing design systems for vertical section and transect designs system will be enclosed in my system.This thesis aims at achieving the integration design with plan, vertical section and transect for railway station. The main content of this thesis includes founding digital terrain model, calculating elevation for coordinate point, integration design for plan, vertical section and transect, exporting project quantity.The system could establish digital terrain model quickly through the improved boundary growth method and the grid-oriented thinking, at the same time the speed for calculating elevation for coordinate point increases. When the given existing plan design system's functions are expanded, customization entity technique given by ObjectARX is used for plan graph's design and modification, accordingly the restriction to external is cast off, what's more is that a mutual aided plan design based on digital terrain model is set up and the throat area automatic optimization function was is achieved. Through inheriting the given existing design systems for vertical section and transect and using digital terrain model, the integration design on plan, vertical section and transect for railway station is achieved. In the subsystem of exporting project quantity, through making full use of the characteristics of customization entity and the means of group dictionary, the information of orbit, Switch, Ballast, station equipment etc can be exported automatically.This system uses the object oriented development method and is developed on the Windows XP operating system. Visual C++ 6.0 development platform is used in the development of this system. AutoCAD 2002 is the graphics support environment, ADO is this system's databases visit means and ObjectARX 2002 is used in the process of system development.This system's effectiveness has been proved by the specific examples.
