Reaserch Of Surface Architecture

In recent years, surfaced-architecture has been a prominent phenomenon. This tendency, in some architect stars' guidance, has become a phenomenon that could not be ignored. However, for the springing of surfaced-architectures, we should focused on the deep meanings, not only the surface. Based on the theoretical study, this thesis focus on the research of application methods. According to the four steps such as introducing a question, analyzing the question, solving the question, coming to a conclusion, the thesis analysised the design methods and strategies of the building.Specifically, the first chapter included three aspects of content such as the object of study, the research background and the significance of the research. Based on the situation, the thesis pointed out existing problems of the research, and put forward that, "surface" is a dynamic mixed concept in the surfaced-architecture. The surfaced-architecture usually has a tendency of minimalism, and a independent structure. This is the part of introducing the problem.The second chapter is the part of analyzing the question. The thesis expounded the evolutions of the architecture surface and the surfaced-architecture.The development of architectural surface, according to the relationship between structure and skin, could be divided into three stages:separation, amalgamation and re-separation. The surfaced-architecture appeared in the period of re-separation, could be divided into three stages:initial stage, development stage and maturation stage.The third and fourth chapters are the part of solving the question. The methods of research are differentiation and integration. The third chapter analysised surfaced-architecture from visual elements, technology and art design.
