With the acute traffic contradictions of increasing traffic demand and undersupply in China, building a better public transportation system becomes one of the most efficient methods to solve this problem. The integrated public transportation system should structure mainly by the railway and bus, coordinated with variety other modes.The thesis firstly analyzed the characteristics of suburban railway and bus and the theory of their transfer coordination. With a combined consideration of two directions of suburban railway, the thesis built up the transfer coordination model between suburban railway and bus, with the objective function of minimizing the total waiting time of transfer passenger. In this model, suburban bus had equal departure interval. Then the thesis changed the bus departure interval to get less waiting time of transfer passenger, and designed an algorithm to solve the model quickly.The thesis analyzed the model and algorithms through experimental method based on basic and predicted data from BMT and 507 Bus in TADA. Then, the thesis used the algorithm to solve this model and used MATLAB to obtain total waiting time of transfer passenger, and verified the mode and the algorithm's general applicability.
