In thermal power plants, most of the auxiliary equipments are blowers and pumps, which have a vast of potential energy. With the intensification of peak load regulation and the load variation broadening of thermal power plants, the electromotor flux must be adjusted in real time. Nowadays throttles are often used to regulate the flow, but this method wastes a lot of resources, since this accommodation mode doesn't change the power of motor. It's commonly accepted that it is more efficient to use speed governing.This paper considers the improvement of the frequency control systems for the major auxiliary equipments in Puyang Power Plant. An analysis of energy conservation for electric machines with large power is proposed based on theoretical derivation, and the model of transducers, the implement of project, the construction scheme, and human-machine interface are confirmed based on practical experience. This project provides useful experience and construction scheme for the implementation of frequency control improvement.
