With the interconnection of power networks and market-oriented progress, a scientific description of the relationship between generation and load is helpful to achieve intervention schedule and economic dispatch rapidly and accurately. This paper proposes a current distribution theory based on classical circuit theory, which clarifies the distribution current from generators to branch circuit by using current distribution coefficients. Besides, this paper proves that kcl of the electricity network is still applicable through using the current distribution coefficients. What is more, this paper has established analytical model and algorithm of the distribution factors and the extraction factors based on the current distribution theory, which makes sure of the power transferred between generators and loads. Based on the power distribution factors, the paper makes a power loss ownership analysis of the whole network. The proposed method is tested on the IEEE14-bus system. The results demonstrate the correctness of the algorithm as well as its certain value for actual power system.
