With the constant deepening of electric power industry system reform, the operation and management of grid have been opening up to the market gradually. Since the electric power business principle of just, fair and open is given top priority, the energy metering system plays a more prominent role than ever before.The current domestic energy system has been in the stage of steady growth; however, due to the different construction time of respective system and the poor co-operation between manufacturers, in most areas, the substation system, load management system, distribution &transformer system, etc all operate separately with poor interconnectivity, being unable to share the data. So it has been a must to build a integrated management application platform that covers the power energy data from substations, distribution& transformer, zone area, tank transformer, etc so as to assist electric power utilities in adequate data mining of power energy and to realize advanced applications such as line loss analysis and energy checking settlement, thus playing a more important role in the process of power energy stepping forward market as commodity.This article gives a brief introduction on the development history of energy management system and its current development technology, and a detail introduction on the proposed overall design solution and infrastructure model of energy integrated management system; establishment of power energy data application platform for realization of fundamental applications such as line loss integrated analysis and management,power supply reliability statistics analysis, distribution& transformer monitoring and load research; sufficient data mining for further data application on the basis of system capabilities of reliability, stability and practicality; illustrations of the communication modes and protocols of all kinds of terminals according to different power consumption levels,all of which are based on the requirements of domestic power market.In the end, this article deals with analysis on difficulties during practical performance and introduction on the solution measures taken combined with the applications of energy management system in certain power companies as well as solutions for special requirements from certain customers.
