Seawater hydraulic technology is an important branch of hydraulic transmission technology.On international think generally, seawater hydraulic technology is the development tendency of hydraulic transmission technology, and it's an advanced science technology. The seawater hydraulic underwater tools using seawater as the working media in salvaging solved the problem caused by using mineral oil thoroughly, such as pollution, inflammable and explosive, etc. Seawater hydraulic technology can adapt to underwater environmental very well, so it has better performance when using in underwater tools.Along with the rapid development of Marine Shipping Industry, the rescue and salvage attract more and more attention as the protection link. When using in rescuing and salvaging, traditional mineral oil hydraulic tools, electric tools and pneumatic tools can not fill the ask for larger operation area and deeper working depth. Seawater hydraulic underwater tools, because of its environmental friendly, is performance reliably, non-pollution and with deeper working depth. Based on the Rescue and Salvage Engineering Major of Dalian Maritime University, two types of frequently-used salvage tools are researched, that includes the seawater hydraulic spreader and the seawater hydraulic diamond chain saw, and the seawater hydraulic underwater tools experimental system has been established.The principle of four bar linkage mechanism is used on the seawater hydraulic spreader. According to the technical parameters, the inner diameter of the seawater hydraulic actuating cylinder, the dimensions of spreading arm and the piston stroke are theoretically calculated. Based on the ergonomics, the hand grip of seawater hydraulic spreader is optimization designed. The finite element analyses of the seawater hydraulic spreader are also described on this paper.The motor parameter of the seawater hydraulic diamond chain saw is studied out according to the theoretical calculation. Referring to the Stanley DS06 diamond chain saw, the link chains are matched. Because the seawater hydraulic is environmentally friendly, the structure of the seawater hydraulic diamond chain saw is optimization designed. Compared with traditional chain saw, the excellent performance of the composite mainly includes structure simplifying, light weight and low cost.The seawater hydraulic underwater tools experimental system provides press water for the tools. The range of hydraulic pressure is between lOMPa and 14 MPa. The experimental system is submersible to 3000 meters, has high operability, mobility and can adjust to underwater surroundings well.Experimented with the seawater hydraulic underwater tools experimental system, the results show that the seawater hydraulic tools have the features of reasonable designing, and can offer reference data for the rescuing and salvaging with the new type seawater hydraulic tools.
