Fluid compression machinery is the main support devices of China's basic industry and aviation industry. As the device is related to fluid transfer, working fluid compression, heat-power conversion, fluid compression machinery is one of the main objectives of our country's Energy conservation. Under the traditional concept, fluid compression machinery is based on axial compressor, centrifugal compressor, and screw compressor, these devices have always been the first choice for the industrial sector. But it is subject to many restrictions for the efficiency and stability. This paper presents a new concept of fluid compression, from the nature of fluid compression. And it combines characteristics of displacement compressor and impeller compressor. Then background for its study, carried out theoretical analysis, experimental verification, and numerical simulation work. Proceeding from Sciences Research and the challenge of traditional fluid compression, this research has whether the application and promotion of values or not, in a sense, it is a combination of the new design of a fluid compression case.For the purpose above, this paper presents a new combined type compression for gas turbine:by connecting impeller compressor and displacement compressor in series. Besides, this paper attempts to research the performance of this new type compression.To achieve these purposes, the contents of this paper first compare with the similar structure of the mechanical device, then study these basic characteristics of the combined compression and in order to verify this idea, build two bench, and finish two types exploratory experiments to. In order to explain the phenomenon observed in experiments, this paper proposes simplifying assumptions of conditions, and proves the theoretical analysis. Finally, it completed a research program of new issues.The results show that this new type compression's performance is similar to the displacement compressor. But it has smaller volume than displacement compressor at the same mass flow rate; and higher pressure ratio and efficiency than impeller compressor.
