| Circuit Breaker (CB) on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis system plays an important role in the safety operation of the grid. Common failures of CB are analyzed and monitoring objects are presented to ensure CB fault diagnosis system can come up with accurate and reliable diagnosis conclusions. The work status of the CB's components is analyzed and corresponding feature extractions are carried out. A circuit breakers (CB) operating mechanism dynamic model is established. Common faults of tripping solenoid are imitated. Mathematical model of the charging motor is analyzed. The relationship between the faults and the changes of the feature is established by means of analyzing simulations and experiments. The conclusions and the experience knowledge from the experts in this field comprise knowledge base of the fault diagnosis expert system (ES). The control strategy of the inference engine consists of forward chaining and backward reasoning. A dual-CPU hardware platform is proposed and the circuit is designed to realize data acquisition and signal conditioning. DSP program is programmed for digital signal processing and feature extraction. The fault diagnosis expert system and graphical user interface (GUI) are realized in Qt/Embedded. The experimental verification of the function of the entire system is carried out in the last. The research work of this paper lays an important foundation for realizing condition maintenance of CB. |
