Geometry dimensions, shipbuilding tolerance and accuracy management are the main basis of ship manufacture technology in the field of geometry information measurement. The exact and high-speed measurement in every stage of ship manufacture are very important to improve the accuracy of constructing of hull, shorten ship building cycle, and reduce building cost. It is necessary to research the measurement methods on the process of hull construction, and then find rapid and accurate measurement which suitable for china, to further improve the efficiency of China's shipbuilding, achieve the goal of being shipbuilding power early.In this paper, Chinese shipyard various measurement methods are used as reference objects, the measurement of the hull construction of theoretical research and application analysis are established by the following aspects.Firstly, the paper introduced the measurement methods mainly used in current domestic shipyard, obtained total station coordinate measuring system has advantages on the hull section detection and three dimensions geometric measurement through experiments comparing, should be promoted. However, there are still some shortcomings on it, needs further research.The selection of measuring points on the three-dimensional measuring system has been given the standard, dimensional accuracy of the entire shipbuilding process is analyzed and controlled to guarantee the dimensional accuracy of hull components on the various stage of process flow, maximum to reduce the workload of on-site repair, improve work efficiency.For the measurement data matching problem of Total Station Three-dimensional measurement system, measured data has a preliminary match by the principle of coordinate transformation, then put forward the objective function based on least squares principle, apply the BFGS algorithm on the preliminary data after matching a detailed match. Experimental results prove that this method is efficient, accurate, so can effectively solve the measurement data and design data of the matching section.The paper analyze the present stage of Chinese shipyard various measurement methods in detail, and research the current advanced total stations measurement system' key technologies, provide more shipbuilding reference information for the next generation of accuracy control.
