This topic is a research project of scientific research projects:"research on heat-release performance of high-power LED lamp", mainly study in the natural air cooling condition, the factors that affect the heat-release performance of high-power LED lamp and the degree that various factors influence the performance, and high-power LED lamp thermal design.LED with high efficiency, energy-saving, environmental protection, long life, fast response characteristics, it have be seen as the fourth-generation illuminant following the incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, high intensity discharge lamp. At present, the 80%~90% electrical energy of LED chips convert into heat, but only on chip packages devices are difficult to maintain low-temperature condition, which severely restricted the application of high-power LED lamp, they need adequate cooling of their products.This paper study on the heat-release performance of high-power LED lamp on single factor condition, and respectively draw out the curves of the fin length, fin height, fin thickness, fin number, ambient temperature with the chip junction temperature, which clearly shows what LED chip junction temperature was influenced by each factors. According to this topic technical requirements, a model of high-power LED lamp with heat pipe and fins heat dissipating was established, then analyzing its heat transferring track, establishing this lamp thermal resistance network map, calculating each thermal resistance and the junction temperature, finally it turns out that this high-power LED lamp structure meets the technical requirements of this topic. In addition, this paper research on the thermal resistance and chip junction temperature of same structure high-power LED lamp with aluminum pole and fins heat dissipating, comparing and arriving at the efficient heat dissipating principle of heat pipe and fins. Using the orthogonal experiment, combining the model in this paper, this paper study on the heat-release performance of high-power LED lamp on multi-factor condition, the result obtained from this experiment: in case of natural air cooling, the fin length is the main factor that affects the heat-release performance of high-power LED lamp, followed by the fin height, the fin number is minimal effecting factor.
