SEAM is more mature asphalt modified as a Shell group of companies . SEAM modified can be directly put into the asphalt cauldron when mixing process,SEAM modified has a good effects on pavement performance .SEAM is the abbreviate of sulphur extended asphalt modified,it's a change of so many products of sulphur modifier for asphalt.There is a great strengthen use between sulphur and asphalt,and sulphur can also play a role of adhibit and fill.SEAM make the best of such points of sulphur , it renovates the produce technics to bring the capability of SEAM into play,and make the production and construction easy at the same time.Therefore,this paper research on the road performance of SEAM(Sulfur-Extended Asphalt Modifier) modified asphalt and the bituminous mixture. The experiment proved:SEAM can enhance the bituminous mixture anti-wheel rut ability,the anti-fatigue capability as well as other roads the performance, and be able to reduce the construction temperature,save the energy,replace the partial asphalt to slow down the supply tense phenomenon of asphalt,therefore adding SEAM to the bituminous mixture has the vital practical significance.This paper through adding SEAM into the asphalt and the bituminous mixture to carry on the massive laboratory tests,these tests to the SEAM bituminous mixture concluding Marshall experiment,wheel rut experiment,freezing and thawing split test, low temperature split test and so on.The test result indicated that:mixes the quantity along with SEAM the increase,the asphalt temperature stability and the temperature susceptibility gradually enhances the flow value;increases the Marshall module;may enhance the fatigue performance of the bituminous mixture;makes the bituminous mixture the fatigue life to enhance near one time.Through a series of indoor and outdoor tests, SEAM durability and temperature susceptibility good, Production and construction technology for the SEAM provide a theoretical basis and initial practice,Strive to bring to highway market the building of good social and economic benefits.
