The Laboratory Experimental Research On The Pavement Performances Of Asphalt Concrete Modified By SEAM

Asphalt pavement is the main structure form of China's highway and urban road. With the development of the National Economy, the bigger of the traffic density and the more heavy vehicle, Asphalt pavement faces severe test.A lot of roads destructed, such as:high temperature rutting, road surface cracting. So, how to improve technical performance of the asphalt mixture, and prolong service life of the asphalt pavement, is the biggest subject that road science and technology workers face.The research adopted SEAM as the modifier, and typed AC-20C dense graded aggregate, and made the general asphalt mixture and SEAM modified asphalt mixture. According to the traffic situation in Jiangsu Province, the ratio of SEAM and aspalt selected two kinds (SEAM: aspalt = 30:70 and 40:60). The Stability under high temperature, the anti-crack ability under low temperature, the water resistence and the fatigue property are tested for the three types of the asphalt mixture in the lab. The parameter of the Marshell stability of impragenated asphalt mixture, the freeze-thaw split strength, the stiff modulus under low temperature and the low temperature breaking strength are reasearched by comparatively testing. The three types of asphalt mixture are comprehensively researched by testing. The effect rules of SEAM are found out.In order to choose a reasonable modified asphalt of different conditions in the construction. The thesis carried out a comparative analysis of SBS and SEAM modified asphalt mixture in mechanical properties, construction techniques and economy, then get the application of the conditions for two types of modified asphalt mixture.On the based of the result of the experiment and analysis, some research on SEAM at home and abroad, and comparative analysis of SBS and SEAM modified asphalt mixture, and the present condition of asphalt concrete pavement in JiangSu province, some conclusions are drawn out by autho, which will Provide refrence on the researching, extension and application of SEAM modified asphalt pavement in JiangSu province.
