So, how to improve technical performance of the asphalt mixture, and prolong service life of the asphalt pavement, is the biggest subject that road science and technology workers face.The research adopted SEAM as the modifier, and typed AC-20C dense graded aggregate, and made the general asphalt mixture and SEAM modified asphalt mixture. According to the traffic situation in Jiangsu Province, the ratio of SEAM and aspalt selected two kinds (SEAM: aspalt = 30:70 and 40:60). The Stability under high temperature, the anti-crack ability under low temperature, the water resistence and the fatigue property are tested for the three types of the asphalt mixture in the lab. The parameter of the Marshell stability of impragenated asphalt mixture, the freeze-thaw split strength, the stiff modulus under low temperature and the low temperature breaking strength are reasearched by comparatively testing. The three types of asphalt mixture are comprehensively researched by testing. The effect rules of SEAM are found out.In order to choose a reasonable modified asphalt of different conditions in the construction.
