Glass facade is chosen unanimously for high buildings in today's world; however, the heat preservation ability in winter and insulation ability in summer of the traditional glass facade is very poor, which increases the energy consumption of heating and air-conditioning. By contrast, double-skin glass facade is not only fine-looking but also possesses great potential for increasing the heating ability. It has good heat preservation ability in winter, and in summer with the reasonably- installed air inlet and outlet and the width of the heat passage its heat insulation ability is also good.The paper, with the help of the CFD numerical calculation theory and by using the FLUENT software, has conducted a numerical simulation of the heat environment over the room with double-skin glass facades on the summer working condition in Xi'an. It analyses the influences from such important factors as the outside temperature and the solar radiation intensity (The cycling is 24 hours.), the width of the heat passage on the heat environment of the heat passage and the adjacent rooms.According to the calculating and analysis, with the same outside temperature and the solar radiation intensity, the following conclusion is achieved: when the areas of the air inlet and outlet are the same, their shapes greatly influence the temperature distribution of the double-skin glass facade; the larger the areas of the inlet and outlet, the better the effect of ventilation, but when it reaches a certain value, the improving effect will not be obvious; the width of the passage will influence the air-flow of the sandwich, the larger of the sandwich ,the better the effect of ventilation, but when it reaches a certain value, the improving effect will not be obvious.The key point of the paper is to simulate the dynamic heat environment of the room of double-skin glass facades with fluctuating outside temperature.
