Blade is the important part of Turbing, Gas Engine and Space Engine. Turbine blade play a key role in the energy conversion of power generation, is the'heart'of the turbine.The number of Turbine blade is very large, a turbine has thousands of different kinds of blades.According to statistics, manufacture of turbine blade costs one-thirds work hours which is used to make the whole turbine.The number of the toolings accounted for about one-half of the whole turbine, and the costs accounted for about 20% to 25%.Since the structure of the blades is almost same, blade tooling (including fixtures and measuring) has a large number of standard parts, universal parts, even has a large number of Non-standard parts which have the same topology structure, in the process of design and development, production and processing of turbine blade toolings. Engineer and technician repeatedly design similar parts with different measure.It causes wasting time and energy, increasing product database and redundant data and so on. Therefore, the establishment of the tooling parts library with Unigraphics secondary development is very important based on general CAD software.Unigraphics is the most advanced and close integral CAD/CAM/CAE software in the field of manufacturing industry. Its open architecture provides abundant of development ways meeting customer's requirements and permits the user to design application program to expand new function. On the basis of the conclusion to WTB factory experience, establishing turbine blade parts library with the help of UG/Open API.Firstly, the demand analysis of the system is given and then the architecture of SPL is determined. The network frame of this system is established based on C/S mode. Secondly, using the design method of relational database, we construct therelational model of this system and do research on the storage pattern of geometric information of the parts in database. We present a method for recording the geometric information of standard parts based on the prt file and this method not only makes it convenience to manage and service the database but also makes it easy to extend SPL. Thirdly, application of system database on blade root assistant designment module.Finally, the operation process and running instance of all function modules is showed.The SPL system which is based on UG NX6.0 and is developed with VC++6.0 and SQL server 2000 makes use of UG/OPEN API technology and ADO database interface technology. The development of C/S mode network SPL is finally finished based on UG and attain the prospective purpose.It helps enterprises to reduce duplication of labor intensity and increase economic efficiency...
