These issues, such as energy-saving and consumption reduction, sustainable development, environmental protection and so on, have become a significant project with strategic meaning. With the Green Lighting and Energy-saving Projects in China, the higher requirements are put forward to the electronic ballast, which not only need economy, but also put forward to a higher demand to the environmental protection and energy conservation. So a kind of centralized electronic ballast based on DSP is designed in this paper, which not only has advantages of high power factor, less grid pollution, but also saving components and convenience to centralized management.Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages between two kinds of traditional collective lighting are compared, on the basis of analysis and research the basic structure and working principle of fluorescent and electronic ballast. The design proposal of project- centralized electronic ballast based on DSP is confirmed. Based on the design proposal, a new kind of centralized electronic ballast is designed in this paper, with input voltage 160V~265V and output voltage 200V, out power 4500W.Secondly, in the design of control circuit, this paper avoids the inconvenience caused by the use of analog chips to control the traditional electronic ballast circuit, and the digital control technology is adopted. Based on the control core of TMS320C2812 chip of TI Company, the analysis is performed to the design of the power factor correction control circuit and half-bridge inverter control circuit of centralized electronic ballast.In addition, this thesis builds the main circuit's model of electronic ballast with MATLAB simulation software. Based on this, a Simulink model of the inverter circuit is set up. The simulation results show that this electronic ballast is not only reduced the pollution to power system under different loads, but also the power factor is high.Finally, this topic simply introduces the centralized controlling technology of fluorescent lamp-power line carrier, preparing for the following work.This thesis discusses the electronic ballast in different ways, especially its novel control method is significant in theory as well as in practice, and there is good prospect of application.
