This article developed a combined permanent magnet synchronous motor for resolving the contradiction between heaven-load starting and wastes energy during normally running of the motor in the beam pumper. The combined permanent magnet synchronous motor is to be made up of coaxial a permanent magnet synchronous motor and an induction motor. Two motors will work at same time to drive the heaven-load easily in the starting. The induction motor will stop while the rotating speed close to synchronous one. This can effectively resolve the problem of'big hourse with small carriage'.In order to shorten the development cycle for the similar motor henceforth, This paper researches the key technology of the same type motor electromagnetism design process on the basis of design feature and method of permanent magnet synchronous motor, developing permanent magnet synchronous motor CAD system by adopting object-oriented programming language c++ builder of Borland corporation. The CAD system base on engineering database management and run on the windows, it is a CAD software with modularization and open type, while it can put motor electromagnetic design, optimization design, performance prediction, motor design scheme and construction drawing output together, friendly interface, convenient to operate and use, so it may effectively guide motor designer to do the electromagnetic design of rare earth permanent magnet synchronous motor.The combined permanent magnet synchronous motor has already worked in Daqing Oilfield, compare the improved motor with former, it may enormous enhance starting performance and increases performance index markedly during normal running.
