The power train of automobile is the main source of the noise and vibration especially for torsional vibration. People pay more attention on it and developed lots of effectual methods. Dual-mass flywheel (DMF) was one of the innovations for reducing torsional ration in recent years. It could reduce the vibration of the power-train very well. In the paper, we introduce t the principle and the feature of typical structure of DMF, and analyzed the influence of the parameters on features.This thesis presented the mechanism of Dual Mass Flywheel and the features of Dual Mass Flywheel with different structures of torsional damper, In this paper, We first discussed the theory of the design of the DMF, and analyzed the impacts of all kinds of parameters. According to the parameter function and the elastic expression, we draw a Dual Mass Flywheel-Circumferential Spring three-dimensional model in Pro/E. Next, according to the theory of the dynamic of multi-body systems we built and run the dynamic model in ADAMS , and received dynamic characteristic of DMF. Finally, we analyzed the structural static strength of spring with the finite element analysis in ANSYS.This research work provides guidance and reference for designing and machining of Arc Coil Spring and further research on the performance of Dual Mass Flywheel with arc-long coil spring.
