| With the society and the situation of living improving, people are paying more and more attention to comfort. And one of the important impacts on comfort is vibration and noise. And people always take some measures to reduce the vibration and the noise.There are two resources in automobile, one is the road surface random exciting while running; the other is the vibration of the engine while working. The road surface random exciting has great influence on the hands and feet of passengers. And the vibration of the engine transmits the vibration by the car body and the transmission system, and creates noise accordingly. People are thinking of controlling the two kinds of vibration and reducing the voice, and have got some useful ideas and new technology. One of the new technologies is the Two Mass Flywheel (TMF), and this is the research object of this article.DMF appears in the middle 1980's. It has many strong points, and is easy to be used; so many automobile factories begin to pay attention to it. The first DMF appeared in German and Japan, and after it got success, many other countries, such as France, America, English etc., all began to research and develop the DMF. In the early 1990's the technology and products matured, and not only diesel car which was the first kind vehicle using it, but also other vehicles, such as gas engine car, bus, middle and low end car etc., begin to use it.And now in Europe, it is widely used in some kinds of vehicles. But in our country, we just begin to research now. Some factories and universities produced the sample of DMF, but it isn't put into batch production. There are some middle and highend cars that used DMF, but they are all imported. So it is very important and useful to research the DMF.In order to accelerate the step of domestic producing of the DMF, it is particularly important to improve its design method and research more. Firstly, thepaper makes a overall analysis of the transmission system noise, gives introduction of the current techniques about decreasing transmission noise, provides the updated questions and international research status. The paper also systematically analyses the variety of traditional clutches, and the development history of DMF.Secondly, the paper introduces the DMF in terms of function structure and theoretical work reason. It analyses the structure advantages and merits of DMF by reducing spring rigidity and avoiding resonance.This paper compares the instinct characters of the system both pre and after using DMF. It shows that the system's fixed rates and vibration have been decreased dramatically by using DMF. The principal of parameter provided by this research will play an undeniable role in the future development of this field. The research result illustrates that the characters of DMF are farm more outstanding than the traditional.This paper is only hoped to have some helps for research of the vibration system for automotive powertrain and is used about the dual-mass flywheel design. |
